Most of the existing 316L on the market are produced in accordance with the American standard. Because of cost concerns, steel mills should put the Ni content of products to the lower limit. American standard regulations, the Ni content of 316L is 10 ~ 14%, and the Japanese standard regulations, the Ni content of 316L is 12 ~ 15%. According to the minimum, there is a 2% difference between the American standard and the Japanese standard in the Ni content, which is still quite huge in the price, so it is necessary for customers to see when they buy 316L products, and the products refer to ASTM or JIS standards.
SUS316L Japanese SUS series stainless steel, lower carbon content than 316 steel, better resistance to intergranular corrosion. Suitable for use in chemical industry, chemical fiber, fertilizer and other industries as an important corrosion resistant material. In addition to the characteristics of atmospheric corrosion resistance and high temperature strength, can be used under harsh conditions, its resistance to intergranular corrosion, work hardening, seawater equipment, papermaking and other production equipment, acetic acid equipment. The 316L stainless steel has a **** carbon content of 0.03, which can be used for applications that cannot be annealed after welding and **** corrosion resistance.
316l stainless steel due to its low carbon content and contains 2℅~3℅ molybdenum, improve the corrosion resistance of reducing salts and all kinds of inorganic acids and organic acids, bases, salts, and high temperature strength.

316l stainless steel performance advantages
1) Cold rolled product appearance good gloss, beautiful;
2) Due to the addition of Mo, corrosion resistance, especially excellent pitting resistance;
3) Excellent high temperature strength;
4) Excellent work hardening (weak magnetism after processing);
5) Solid solution state non-magnetic.
